Last Minute Listing: Transformed By The Tube Talk

Suburbia has settled into Covent Garden good and proper and tonight, Research Fellow Oliver Green is giving a talk on how the the capital was transformed by the tube. Think modernity in Morden, home comforts in Hendon and a spaceship in Southgate. Oliver will examine how the arrival of the Tube in open countryside just outside London led to the creation of completely new suburban communities, and how the Underground extensions introduced new architectural styles. £8, starts at 6.30pm in the Museum's Cubic Theatre and lasts approx 1 hour.
