East Enders Debate Olympic Legacy

OlympicstadiumSML.jpg A discussion at QMUL next Wednesday will look at the 2012 Olympic Games in terms of "the people's legacy: community participation in the shaping of East London 2012 and beyond". Will the East End become an urban regeneration success story? Can London succeed in its aim to host the first ethical Games? Will all workers be paid a living wage? Will affordable homes follow? Run by The City Centre, an urban research project at QMUL, this event will look at serious issues for London for 2012 and beyond. Free to attend but registration is essential. Wednesday 2 December, 6.30-8.15pm at Skeel Lecture Theatre, People's Palace, QMUL, Mile End E1.
