Ticket Alert: Vitalic Album Launch, Friday at Fabric

Calling all danceheads! Big night at Fabric tomorrow. Although we've never actually had a small night at Fabric. Anyway... there's an important album launch (and those words look so good on your personal organiser, now don't they?): Vitalic, the gallic king of techno, has just released his new album, Flashmob. After four years. Club goers should be mighty excited about this - the man has been big news since his 2001 summer smash 'La Rock', and 'My Friend Dario' was a huge 2005 floor filler.

The nice PR people have sent us some psychadelic prose to describe the latest oeuvre: try

blistering, claustrophobically compressed production, beautifully brutal beats and madly addictive tunes, emotion, invention and melody, all delivered with a wink of its glittery disco eye.

Quite so. So we had a listen, and have to admit we couldn't put it better ourselves. There is a pretty good sampling of the new material on Vitalic's MySpace page: we like Terminateur Benelux bestest, but ALL the tracks are BIG club sounds. If you buy one dance album this year....

If you want to go along tomorrow night, the man is playing a 'selector set'. The evening also includes sets by James Lavelle, Duke Dumont and Dekker. You can buy tickets from £14.00 here. Have fun.
