It's a very Islington affair for Michael Nyman's latest opus. London based fans of the clever classicist (yes, he's the one who wrote the score to The Piano) will be intrigued to learn that his new album is a collaboration with smooth soulster David McAlmont. The Glare was conceived, rehearsed and is to be performed in and around Upper Street. It's first public outing is on this Saturday at the Union Chapel, where the unlikely duo are appearing as the Michael Nyman Band in aid of the Margins Project, a charity for the homeless. Tickets can be bought here. (Image/Gaz-zee-boh)
