London Skyride, the annual mass bike ride around London, Sunday 20 September 2009. We filmed the view from Hungerford Bridge, soundtrack provided by the disco bike that got everyone whooping and ringing their bells.
Thousands of people took part and there was much happy traffic-free cycling along the specially created route around the centre of London. Expert cyclists, wobbly novices, families with small children and parties of hipsters and trendies on wheels zipped around gleefully. London's most car-light, lycra-heavy day so far: treasure those fluorescent-jacketed memories until next year's mass bike ride.
