As predicted, lots of cycling fans got "up close to people with large legs as they whizzed by on amazingly expensive bikes" yesterday witnessing the Tour of Britain's 9.25km swerve through some of London's best loved landmarks. On an unexpectedly warm and summery afternoon, 22 year old Norweigan Edvald Boasson Hagen started in the sunny yellow jersey and pedalled home victorious, doubtless inspiring today's fleet of freewheeling Skyriders.
