Bus Dents Porsche, Kills Bus Stop

The Currant Bun (and a bunch of other places too) brings us the cautionary tale of bus versus Porsche. Emma Freeman parked her car at a Barnes bus stop (naughty) while she nipped out to use a cashpoint… only for a 283 to pull out, get on the wrong side of the road, smash into her car and total the bus stop. A CCTV camera happened to be trained on the incident back in June, so now we can all, um, enjoy it.

    This is the second Barnes Bus Crash in the last few years.

    Oh, I would add, in the buses defence, that she did park her porsche on the curb, blocking in a bus stop…

    I’m sure I read somewhere that the bus actually lost control due to a sticky throttle rather than just driver error. Not sure the car owner deserved having her car wrecked though, even if it was a Porsche.
