Lovvers first made an impression on us when we caught their set at last year's Stag & Dagger. Since then, they've put out a snack-sized mini-LP, and have a debut full length packed with quick and catchy anti-pop guitar tunes due any day now. If you haven't had a chance yet to catch the Nottingham boys, you'll have plenty of opportunities in the near future. They're playing Barden's Boudoir tonight, but if you take a late lunch today you can catch their 1.15pm set at Pure Groove. Be warned that their frontman would rather perform from the crowd than the stage, so if you're not into audience participation or the kind of spastic dancing that might land you with a few bruises, look for a comfy spot a safe distance from the stage (but where's the fun in that?).

Can't make it out tonight? Lovvers will be back in London at the end of the month, playing Old Blue Last on the 25th, Rough Trade East the 27th, and New Cross Inn on the 28th.
