Design A "Beyond Zone 1" Poster Competition

postersLTM.jpg If you enjoyed the Transport Museum's Art of the Poster exhibition and are a dab hand at design yourself then you've got just over 3 weeks left to enter the Poster Design Competition which is being run by the Museum, TFL and the London Design Festival.

The brief is to design a poster extolling the delights of London beyond Zone 1, particularly Barking & Dagenham, Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harringay, Harrow, Islington, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Wandsworth. You've got to grab the traveller's attention in the space of 3 seconds on a horribly hot and sticky tube run. No mean feat. But there are serious prizes for the winning entries. First prize winner will be paid a grand for the copyright to their design and second and third place will be produced as posters for sale in the LTM shop and showered with various other goodies to boot.

For inspiration visit Lonndon Transport Museum’s online collection of iconic posters and download the full brief and entry details from TfL. Deadline for entries is 27 July though so get busy with it.
