Londoner Is Now World's Oldest Man

Former Londoner Henry Allingham RAF1.jpg has been declared the world's oldest man having recently celebrated his eleventy-third birthday (or 113th for those not fluent in hobbit-speak). The great great great grandfather, who now lives near Brighton, was born on 6 June 1896. He served in the RAF in WWI and is the sole survivor of the Battle of Jutland. The world's previous oldest man, Japan's Tomoji Tanabe, claimed that a daily glass of milk kept him strong. And what's Allingham's recipe for long life? The one ring to rule them all 'Cigarettes, whiskey and wild women.' We'll cheers to that. (Image/robonline)
