Want A Seat? Pay Up!

NE board.jpg Not content with extortionate fares, rubbish services and Byzantine ticketing rules, train companies are looking for new ways to twist yet more money out of their long-suffering passengers with a £2.50 charge to guarantee a seat. Surely a fare increase by any other name? Not according to National Express who claim they merely want to ‘improve the on-board environment for customers’. We think customers would be happier with a decent sandwich and reasonable ticket prices but maybe that’s just us.
