This stained glass window depicting Bibendum AKA ‘the Michelin Man’ is a feature of the Bibendum Restaurant on the first floor of the Michelin House at Brompton Cross, Fulham Road, SW3. This wonderful Art Deco building, which opened in 1911 as the UK headquarters for the Michelin Tyre Company, is covered, both inside and out with colourful tiled panels and mosaics. The name Bibendum comes from the Latin “Nunc est bibendum” which translates as "Cheers!" or "Now is the time to drink. The building also houses The Conran Shop.
Inspired by Boris and co’s narrow (street) escape, this latest collection of Urban Sightseeing images shows bikes in interesting locations and on signs around London.
