Great 20th Century Photography and More on View at Liberty

1968-Venice-Beach-Rock-fest.jpg

May 18th marked the launch of "A Taste for Life", a photography exhibition held on the top floor at Liberty department store. The show features photography from renowned Magnum photographers such as Stuart Franklin, Eve Arnold and Peter Marlow (Dennis Stock’s 1968 photograph “Venice Beach Rock Festival” is featured above). In addition to the works of these not-to-be-missed shots (especially Thomas Hoepker’s 1966 shot of Mohammad Ali, which we could post but feel you should just go and see that marvel for yourself), a number of the images on display have been sourced from a nation-wide competition run by the makers of Tanqueray gin in association with Flickr. “A Taste for Life” is on through the 23rd. Don’t miss this chance to get up close and personal with some of the great shots from the past half century or so as well as the inspired works of some newbie shutterbugs!
