Were you one of the thousands who composed the perfect 17 syllables to sum up summer in London?

Between 18 and 20 May, commuters saw their Twittered haikus projected onto a huge screen at Kings Cross Station as part of a collaboration between Kings Place and Network Rail to find the best London haikommuter.

Yoko Ono and UK poet Jackie Kay MBE have the enviable task of judging the Londoners lyrical masterpieces while the lucky winner gets free entry to Words on Monday events at Kings Place for the rest of the year. Londonist is still annoyed they didn't credit us with the idea.

We wonder what the most common subject for the haikus was?

Mobile phone music

Why is it always bad rap?

Give me poetry

Nine of ten trains run

On time says Network Rail, so

Why are we waiting?

You can surely do better — leave your efforts in the comments.
