Seizure Up For Turner Prize

SEIZURE.jpg Of all the art experiences we had last year, Seizure took the biscuit. Never before had we had to don wellies before entering the art space and never had a council flat in Elephant been so transformed - literally turned into a copper sulphate crystal cave. Hoorah, then, that it's shortlisted for the Turner Prize to inject a dose of magical immersive installation magic into what's been a fairly turgid few Turner years. If only it were compulsory for Roger Hiorns to crystallize a gallery of the Tate for the annual prize exhibition. Regrettably, such sorcery is reserved for derelict dwellings. The nature of his work for the show is still under discussion.
