Kneehigh Theatre are back, bringing with them their latest show Don John to Battersea Arts Centre (BAC). Opening this week, Don John draws on Mozart's Don Giovanni but is mainly the unique Kneehigh take on what happens when Don John the chancer, the charmer insinuates himself into a group of lonely, confused and struggling people. It is 1978 Britain, in the grip of the 'winter of discontent', made glorious summer by the mysterious stranger. It will be sexy, it will be stunning, it will be that mix of wit, style, song and theatrical 'wow' factor for which Kneehigh are best known.

Considering how huge Kneehigh's Brief Encounter turned out to be, it is well worth taking yourself down to SW11 to catch Don John now. Be the among the first to see the next transformation of BAC since Punchdrunk's Masque of the Red Death; the entire building was taken over with rotten gothic opulence for that unforgettable production. With equal architectural daring, Don John will be staged in a brand new, 500 seat theatre in BAC's Grand Hall. See it to believe it.

Don John at Battersea Arts Centre, 7 April to 9 May. For more information and to book tickets, go to the Battersea Arts Centre website.
