Crayons, minstrels, newspapers, books and a lone frisbee were amongst the casualties that lay on the stage in the aftermath of what could be described as a very nerdy evening that was the School for Gifted Children. Hosted and curated by Robin Ince as part of the London Word Festival, a curious bunch of folk from comedians, poets and musicians threw words, songs, poems and physics jokes about to entertain a sold out crowd at Bethnal Green Working Man's club.

The pictures provide a glimpse into this intellectual evening of knowledge sharing, heated Ann Coulter rants, Bonobo's, top tips for holidaying in Cern amongst other very random facts and stories. Certainly an evening not to be missed.
