Free Tonight?

You could stay in, watching a tireless parade of grinagogs and jackaninnys pratfall their way through another Comic Relief, or you could go out and do something Londony instead. For the third Friday in a row we commend the London Transport Museum. Tonight is yet another celebration of the Routemaster bus, a vehicle held in such reverence that it must surely reach the status of Godhead before long. Arch-Prelate of the Routemasterians Travis Elborough will give a reading, with live music from Piney Gir, some 50s rock & roll, and film screenings. The Routemaster Rocks evening also offers the chance to examine entries for the recent competition to replace the Routemaster. And don’t forget to check out the Routemaster cocktails in the Museum’s Upper Deck bar. Open 6-9pm, £10.
