Yesterday we were listening to The Rakes, thinking about what an awesome band they were, and wondering where they'd gone. Today we get an email telling us about album #3. Hooray!
Named 'Klang!', Alan Donohoe and his beautifully coiffured crew recorded the album in Berlin but are returning to London to show it off for the first time. As well as a main date at Koko on 29 April, they will play an intimate show at The Lexington (formerly Clockwork) on Pentonville Road next Friday night (27 Feb). The night will be hosted by Rockfeedback and run until 4am with a White Light Club disco following the band. This means there's a strict music policity of only songs released before or on 28 February 1984 getting a spin. Tickets are £10 and available now.
