Picasso Lights Up National Gallery

picasso_illuminations.jpg Living in London it's rare one feels compelled to hang out in Trafalgar Square after dark but here's a good reason to stop by and linger this week: As mentioned last night, the National Gallery will be illuminated with iconic works by Picasso between 6-10pm from tonight until Saturday. The Gallery's blockbuster show, Picasso: Challenging the Past opens in the Sainsbury Wing at the Gallery today and it's also pleasing to note that the powers that be have taken the initiative to change the NG's late opening to Fridays, rather than Wednesdays as of this week. Free art fix Fridays! We like it. Open late till 9pm, every Friday from now on.
