While a controversial conflation of monkeys and economics is the talk of New York, London goes for a more urbane pairing of primate and finance. Artist Alastair Mackie today unveils his new work in Economist Plaza (St James), named Mimetes Anon. The bronze chimp is striking in its subtlety; its grey form blends in with the weathered concrete surroundings, making it all the more startling when first noticed. The aped ape is officially unveiled tonight and will remain in place until 17 April.
