Londonist Stays In

Bringing you the most Londony shows on TV over the coming week.

Monday

Law and Order UK (ITV1, 21.00-22.00) The long-anticipated London incarnation of the popular US franchise starts tonight. Look out for him off of Coronation Street, her off of Dr Who, and matey-boy from Battlestar Galactica.

The Real Casino Royale (C4, 21.00-22.00) Was, apparently, Mayfair's Clermont Club in the 1960s, home of glamour, gambling and, it is alleged, gangland card sharking.

28 Days Later (C4, 22.00-00.14) Directeur du jour Danny Boyle fills London with zombies and epic string arrangements.

Tuesday

Masterchef (BBC2, 20.30-21.00) As the final approaches, the remaining contestants must cater for 450 people at Buckingham Palace. Woo, Royal jelly.

Wednesday

Inside Out (BBC1, 19.30-20.00) Arachnophobics look away now. The local magazine show tracks down the exotic spiders inhabiting London.

Minder (FIVE, 21.00-22.00) Fresh from Whitechapel, Steve Pemberton pops up as a psychic to help the hapless duo track down some diamonds.

From Hell (FIVE, 22.00-00.20) It was never going to live up to the Alan Moore graphic novel, but Depp and Co have a decent stab (hoho) at Ripper mythology.

Thursday

Margaret (BBC2, 21.00-22.50) Big show of the week sees Lindsay Duncan play an embattled Thatcher in her last days of office. A bit like Downfall, without the moustache.

Friday

Chelsea Pensioners: Once a Soldier (BBC1, 19.00-19.30) Documentary about those wonderful old gents in red jackets.

Saturday

Margaret Thatcher - the Long Walk To Finchley (BBC2, 21.45-23.10) We bet she didn't really walk to Finchley.
