Victorianistas Upset Over Stadium Plans

Spurs Tottenham Hotspurs' recent uptick in fortune (new stadium design, new league position, new players) hasn't been welcomed by everybody: The Victorian Society and English Heritage are upset that the club's plans for a new ground call for the demolition of several "historic" buildings along Tottenham High Road. The groups have joined forces to campaign for the club to amend their plans. Having suffered the outrageous fortune of struggling through the High Road's slings and arrows on several occasions, this Londonista will take their word for it that the "interesting and attractive" location, including two pubs, would be a serious loss to Haringey's heritage.
