OMG unblievbl surgery story: voluntr doc from Chelsea&Westminster hosp in DRC with MSF did amputation on injred 16 yr old boy bytxtmsg. David Nott general & vascular surgeon not done op before remved shlder blade + collarbone all by txtmsg 2 colleague in UK 4 help. Op done w/ 1pint blood + basic tools in Oct. DCR tuff place, Nott brave decision to op + gd thinking re: txtmsging, boy recovered, doing well :-)
