Santa's Lap: The London Tray

Every day this month the Londonist team will be pointing you in the direction of a Christmas present that (with a bit of luck) you won't already have on your list. Climb up onto our collective lap and we'll see what we can move from our sack to your stockings...

Should anyone dare describe London as drab, grey and depressing, you have full permission to give the speaker of such vile lies a swift clip across the top of the head with this cheerful London tray by metagram from lifestylebazaar. Even raining cats and dogs looks like fun in the colourful London scenes.

The tray suggests best use as tranport for breakfast in bed or multiple cups of coffee to accompany a stack of weekend papers. There's plenty to idle over on the tray if the colour supplement doesn't engage: the densely arranged list of sights to see and places to go offers text-based distraction while the simple, blocky illustrations manage to bless the pigeons with a bit of simplistic charm. Pick it up for a cheerful £25.00 and while you're at it, have a look at all the other upbeat, lovely things in the shop.
