Christmas is now SO last year. All eyes to 09, people.

Having tipped you off on One Option for some top-notch post-new-year-clubbing-fun, we've spotted another club-night in an eye-catchingly historic venue just 48 hours afterwards.

SuperMartXé (pronounced 'Super Mar Chay') as a clubbing brand has got itself a huge global following based on noches fantásticas across Spain. It's now creating a name in London as it spreads a bit of iberian magic beyond Madrid and Ibiza onto our own soil. This in itself warrants close attention, as something new, opulent and decidedly poly-sexual comes in to mix up London clubbing.

On Saturday (3rd January) SuperMartXé will take over the Coronet Theatre in Elephant and Castle. This South London art deco venue has witnessed its fair share of entertainment history. With strong links to Charlie Chaplin in the early part of last century, the theatre was the site of a riot in the 1950s after a showing of the notorious b-movie Rock Around The Clock.

Knowing a bit about the SuperMartXe brand, expect similiar high-jinks there, this Saturday. Just don't count on them serving Worthington, Guinness or Oxo at the bar as they did 100 years ago.
