It's been a full year for Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlitt's Monkey: Journey To The West. London finally got a staging of the production at the Royal Opera House in July, while an animated Monkey short served a good segue between the Beijing and London Olympics, and on 8 Novemeber, Monkey will be returning to the London stage at a purpose-built room at the O2.
But for those of you who need a little more Monkey in your life, you need look no further than Trafalgar Square where Monkey will be perched atop Nelson's head for the week. You can also check out the Monkey YouTube channel, where a video for "Monkey Bee" has premiered. The live-action video was shot by Hewlitt with the opera's cast around London.
