Fans of tall buildings can rejoice. After the depressing news of a delay to the Cheesegrater, thrusting progress is finally apparent on one of the City's other nascent skyscrapers. The Heron Tower on Bishopsgate is reaching for the sky, with the first steelwork surpassing ground level a few days ago. The Heron looks set to become the tallest building in the Square Mile, now it's overtaken other projects in the area. You can almost smell the moist pants over on the SkyscraperCity forums.
