What better way to see DeptfordX art festival draw to a close than by attending a screening of Deptford 45s tonight, at the Albany Cafe, Giffin Street, SE8? Local artist, Anita McKeown, has made seven 3 minute films over the course of a year from the everyday sights and sounds of Deptford, with contributions from local residents. The project documents a moment in time in SE8 and re-presents it in an idiosyncratic way. The screening is free and starts at 6.30pm and is followed by some ‘sonic art’. Deptford as you’ve never seen it before, wethinks.
