Happy 100th birthday, the roundel. Its exhibition opens today at Rochelle School. More interesting for fans of transport memorabilia and contemporary art who've a few bob still sloshing around in these tight times, you can bid to buy one of these roundel inspired works of art online (like that one, pictured, by James Ireland) from 15 October. 100 artists have contributed to this centennial celebration including Peter Blake, Cornelia Parker, Mark Titchner, Gavin Turk and Liliane Lijn to name just a handful. Each of the works will be printed as a unique, numbered pair, one for the London Underground archives and one for the auction. What price a piece of transport art history?
