Cheese Grated

CheesegraterTough market conditions in the City may have claimed another casualty: the Richard Rogers-designed 'Cheesegrater' building on Leadenhall Street is set to be delayed, say property group British Land, as they prepare a cost review of the project. Originally due for completion in 2011, the 48-storey 'scraper, to be built on the plot of land previously occupied by the old P&O HQ (whose demolition is in itself an interesting project), could be finished by 2012, although "no date for completion" has been set.
