Look at that gorgeous building. What would it sound like? Head to the Laban centre in Deptford to find out this Thursday evening when artist-musicians Janek Schaefer, Jasper Leyland, Alexander Wendt and Douglas Benford will perform 108 Pieces Demolition

. As the title suggests, and in keeping with the experimental nature of the artists and building involved, demolition and construction will be the theme for this evening.

Far from the dance performances normally held in this purpose-built dance space, 108 Pieces Demolition describes itself as 'a multi-channel sound installation, building-site and live performance set up'. All against the backdrop of this award-winning building by Herzog and de Meuron, the chaps behind Tate Modern who have made a space that somehow feels like it is poised ready to spring, pulsing and humming in its grassy hollow with a latent musical, moving energy. Catch it if you can and bask in the evening light filtering through that extraordinary coloured glass front while soundwaves massage you with aural experiments in architecture.

108 Pieces Demolition at the Laban centre, Deptford, Thursday 3 July, 6.30pm. Tickes £8, concessions £5. For more information go to the Last FM website.
