Fish Eye Olympic Stadium Spy

It's 3 years ago on Sunday that London found out we'd be hosting the 2012 Olympic Games. The fate of Forman's Salmon Smoking factory was thereby sealed as it was the exact spot that the new Olympic Stadium would be built. Forman's are now in a new factory overlooking the site and to mark this anniversary, they've installed a live webcam on the roof of their new gaff to spy on Stadium building and allow us all to keep a beady eye on the construction.

Check it out.

The camera is perched 15 metres up on the roof with a fisheye lens to give a panoramic view of the 2012 builders racing against the clock to finish the stadium ready for the start gun in 4 years. Visitors to the website are able to watch live video footage and zoom in to minute detail like a paparazzo with a long range lens

.

Only if you've got Internet Explorer, though, as we just found out.

Still, the view is pretty stunning right now, in the evening sun and in case you miss any of the action, Forman's will be making a film of the entire process, ready to be screened in 2012.

Find out more about Forman's and get the fisheye view.
