If you've got special love for the trees you can show them you care by nominating your favourite urban tree in the Trees for Cities' Great Trees of London vote. Here's the current list. This time round they're looking particularly for inner London trees of notable physical character, historic significance or that are growing beautifully in a landmark location. The winning trees get a special plaque and you might end up with a tree planted in your name, should you win their special prize draw. So whether it's a canopy you like to lie beneath or a striking, ancient, gnarly woodlander go out and take its photograph and nominate your tree now.
