Saturday saw the streets of London awash with naked, semi naked, costumed and painted people on bicycles for World Naked Bike Ride Day.

What's it all about? "A peaceful, imaginative and fun protest against oil dependency and car culture. A celebration of the bicycle and also a celebration of the power and individuality of the human body. A symbol of the vulnerability of the cyclist in traffic."

A whole bunch o' nekkid people... and not a looker among 'em. No fair.
Nothing wakes you up in quite the same way as going to one of your regular websites and seeing a bunch of nudists on two wheels...
I was there. I've never seen such a bunch of ugly gawpers pointing their mobile phones at me. Apart from that, it was a wonderful, happy, spirit-raising phenomenon! Brought to mind running the London marathon. Oh, and everyone's good looking when they are having a great time!
Thanks, Londonist
Cultists!
