This week, we've mostly been looking forward to what's coming up, with Talia previewing bloggers delight Annie at Water Rats on Wednesday, Dave K having a look at Warp Records' Saturday night rave and also Matthew Dear's trip to the ICA. Amanda meanwhile caught The Sleeping Years at the 12 Bar and also The Kills at Rough Trade.

Looking ahead to this week however, and Monday sees Coldplay play an exclusive gig at Brixton Academy for competition winners and friends. Tickets are long gone, however there may be a few available from, erm, "shadier" sources. Elbow meanwhile play the Southbank Centre as part of Meltdown festival (which we previewed here), a few tickets are available from here.

Brazilian metal titans Cavalera Conspiracy play the Astoria on Tuesday night - a handful of tickets at £17.50 each are available from the usual sources. Meanwhile up at Koko All Tomorrow's Parties present Liars and Deerhunter. Tickets are available from We Got Tickets at £13.50 each.

Canadian indie rockers Tokyo Police Club play scala on Wednesday night - tickets are £9.50 each. If you want something a bit more old school then 80's synth poppers Yazoo play the first of two consecutive nights at the Hammersmith Apollo. Tickets are priced between £40 and £45 each.

Singer/Songwriter Frank Turner (formerly of Million Dead) plays Sin on Thursday night - tickets are £10 each. Grace Jones will be playing the Southbank Centre as part of Meltdown festival. Tickets are priced between £25 and £45 each.

The big news for the weekend is My Bloody Valentine's 5 night sold out run at the Roundhouse, which starts on Friday night. Alternatively Pete and The Pirates play their indie rock Camden Barfly - tickets are £8 each.

We always recommend ethical gig trading site Scarlet Mist as your first port of call for tickets particularly when they're sold out, so check them out and beat the touts. Failing that Gumtree is always a friend.
