London Drives You Bananas

london_banana.jpg
We're a website of London obsessives so it's always a pleasure to encounter other obsessives to make ourselves feel less geeky and single-minded. The London Bananas project did that for us today. A newcomer to London, the first thing this fruit focused photographer noticed about our fair city was banana skins everywhere. They started documenting them to prove this fact and put the photos online. They're a strangely compelling series; neglected, discarded or decaying banana skins littering London's streets, just waiting for a comedy slip up moment that never comes. The irony is, the poor soul hates bananas. Help the London Banana project feed its obsession. Contribute.

Bloody blimey!
I'd never noticed just how many of the little critters (fritters?) there are out there. I counted 4 just walking from the bank to the post office. It could so easily become an obsession.
I'm looking at discarded stuff in a whole new light.
