- The Market Porter (Borough, London)
Understandably very popular, it's well worth going out of your way for.

- Railway Tavern (Crouch End, London)
Recently rescued from the blokey, suburban rut it had fallen into, it's now a rather pleasant place.

- Windsor Castle (Marble Arch, London)
This has to be a serious contender for the quirkiest pub in London.

- Andover Arms (Hammersmith, London)
One of the best drinking holes in W6.

- The Grapes (Limehouse, London)
Probably (and deservedly) our favourite riverside pub.

- Harringay Arms (Crouch End, London)
A pub with a bit of character, a blessed relief from the loungey places that abound.

- The Sir Richard Steele (Primrose Hill, London)
One of North London's more idiosyncratic boozers.

- The Eagle Ale House (Clapham Junction, London)
A local pub with an independent spirit.

- Prince of Wales (Holland Park)
A pricey, posh local - one that's one of the most relaxed pubs in the area.

- Lord Clyde (Borough, London)
A champion pub, unfazed and unsullied by the inexorable rise of gastrodom.
