Green Tours Of London

We like our London walks. Usually, they're full of folklore and witchery, stories and histories or the straight tourist tirade guff. But by the pricking of our thumbs, a new kind of walk this way comes! Future London Green Tours are being launched to coincide with the greeny beany minded Love London, Love Your Planet Festival which runs 1-21 June.

Future London's founder, Cate Trotter, said the tours would provide "a whistlestop tour of eco-design in the real world" and highlight places that you haven't noticed before or didn't realise were green. For example, pretty Palestra (pictured) by Southwark tube and home of the London Development Agency.

The first tours will take you from the Brick Lane in the East End to the Southbank and should be entertaining as well as educational, giving you 'green' in the non-hippy but modern, interesting and sexy way.

Cate's Green Tours are sponsored by Zipcar and won a Better Travel award from the Love London festival to run these events. Hooray for the small, green entrepreneur!

Future London Green Tours will run on Saturday June 7th, Sunday June 15th and Saturday June 21st. Tours start at 2pm and depart from the Bishopsgate entrance of Liverpool Street station. Tickets cost £5. To reserve a place, please call 07886 893518. Click here for more information.
