Fancy a Pint? Try One of These Top 10 Pubs

greenman.jpg

Every month, the folks at Fancyapint? get together to vote for their top ten favourite pubs. These are recently visited pubs that for one reason or another (the ambience, the booze, the company) stuck in their collective memory. Kindly, these booze-savvy Fancyapinters have decided to share their latest picks with Londonist and all our readers. Cheers!

Here’s the current list from Fancyapint? in no particular order of merit. They assure us that all ten pubs are quality establishments.

- The Green Man3P_sl.jpg (Fitzrovia, London)
If you like cider, you'll love this - and the beer's pretty good too.

- The Dove4P_sl.jpg (Hackney, London)
Hackney's bit of Belgium - an old favourite.

- Lamb5P_sl.jpg (Holborn, London)
Young's pubs like they used to be - let's hope this one stays that way.

- The Torriano3P_sl.jpg (Kentish Town, London)
A friendly place, that's still under threat.

- Masons Arms4P_sl.jpg (LouthLincolnshire)
A traditional pub and hotel that's truly at the centre of its community.

- Fox & Hounds4P_sl.jpg (Belgravia, London)
Another great little tucked-away local in a rather swanky area.

- The Winchester Hotel4P_sl.jpg (Highgate, London)
A proper pub, with a bit of something for everyone.

- Carpenters Arms4P_sl.jpg (Shoreditch, London)
Closed a while ago and now reopened as a very nice pub, we wonder what a previous landlady would have thought?

- The Kenilworth3P_sl.jpg (Edinburgh)
Part of the Rose Street pub crawl - it's been one of our favourites for years.

- The Duke of Wellington4P_sl.jpg (Belgravia, London)
A down-to-earth-pub in a not so down-to-earth area.

i know it's a mistake, but it made me smile to see the masons arms in louth, lincolnshire in a list with some london pubs i've visited. I grew up in louth and can confirm that the masons arms is a good drinkers pub :)

on further investigation it's not a mistake. good choice!

Mmmm - all North London.
