Good news for anyone who has ever tried to lug a 70 pound bag up and down stairs on the way to the airport (or was that just us?): TfL just announced that it'll be expanding step-free access to 13 more tube stops in its £370 million Access for All programme.

Though technically to help access for the elderly, those with children or just generally sickly folk - proximity to hospitals was one consideration for the most in-need stations - improvements will be made at Bromley South, New Eltham, Tottenham Hale, New Malden, West Hampstead Thameslink, Brockley, Camden Road, Gospel Oak, Honor Oak Park, Walthamstow Central, Limehouse, Ilford and Worcester Park.

But don't expect any changes too soon. TfL will be doing feasibility studies for the next 18 months and plan to finish the improvements between 2012 and 2015.
