Strictly Come Dancing may be but a glitzy, Christmas twinkle in the memory banks but for all of you that fell in love once more with the heat and hustle of the latin section, Samba Dance Club night at Sadlers Wells is something you need to know about.

Starting at 7.15pm with a beginners class (ie you don't need to know ANYTHING) then progressing to intermediate at 8.15pm (for those of you with a bit of a grasp of conga, volta and big feathered hairdos) the club night comes alive at 9pm. Resident DJ Cliffy, an expert on Brazilian music, will be banishing all thoughts of February with infectious beats and breaks and with a little help from the samba teacher, a few drinks from the bar and some authentic Brazilian dancefloor heat we reckon you'll be shimmying with the carnival till midnight, no problem.

Samba Dance Club night is at the Lilian Bayliss Theatre, next door to Sadlers Wells on Rosebery Avenue. Tickets are just £8 - book online or call 0844 412 4300.
