The only music star to be his only Cockney rhyming slang, James Blunt is playing Hammersmith Apollo on Monday night and also Tuesday night, though unsurprisingly tickets are all gone for now. Meanwhile, if you like something a bit more country-fied and American, then Texan Ryan Bingham plays the Borderline. Tickets are £12.50 from See Tickets.

Tuesday sees The Kills grace the Soho Revue Bar, though tickets are sold out. New Indie-pop scenesters The Voom Blooms play Dublin Castle as part of Club Fandago. Tickets are £5 from See Tickets. Meanwhile over in Greenwich, The Spice Girls continue their record run at the O2, also playing Wednesday and Friday nights. Tickets are still available from See Tickets.

The Futureheads kick off a nationwide tour of university student unions by playing The Academy at Brunel University in Uxbridge on Wednesday night - tickets are £10 each from See Tickets. Hotly tipped for 2008 (though this Londonista has no idea why), We Are Physics play their "new-wave" racket at the Barfly. Tickets are £6 from TicketWeb. Alternatively, if you want to be slightly more mainstream, BBC's "Sound of 2008" winner, Duffy, plays The Pigalle Club for the first of a month-long residency, playing every Wednesday night for the next four weeks. Tickets are all sold out for all dates.

New York weird ones Vampire Weekend play Hoxton Bar and Grill on Thursday night, whilst Jim Noir graces the Borderline for some electro blips and beeps. Tickets are £7 from See Tickets. Finally, New Jersey Hardcore stars Shattered Realm play Underworld - tickets are £7.50 from Scum Tickets.

To end off the week, on Friday Van Morrison plays the Hammersmith Apollo, which is unfortunately sold out it seems. Goth Rockers My Ruin. Tickets are £7 from TicketWeb.

We always recommend ethical gig trading site Scarlet Mist as your first port of call for tickets particularly when they're sold out, so check them out and beat the touts. Failing that Gumtree is always a friend.
