Michelin’s Astral Projections for London Restaurants

Five London restaurants have newly received fabled Michelin stars in the latest edition of Michelin’s guide to good eating. No restaurants were awarded two or three stars, the marks of truly exceptional restaurants. So where should you take your date for a dinner that really captures the zeitgeist of London fine dining? The new star-boasters are Hibiscus, La Trompette, Quilon, Rhodes W1 and Wild Honey. We’re sure these restaurant are immensely chuffed but, at the same time, dreading what comes with maintaining the reputation of such an award.

If you are more on a budget, consider some of Michelin’s Bib Gourmand recipients, restaurants with “moderately priced menus that offer good value for money and serve carefully prepared meals.” New ones this year are Benja, the Brown Dog, Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, Gordon Ramsay's the Narrow, Great Queen Street,Kastoori, Ma Cuisine, Trenta and Upstairs.

Bon appetit!
