Santa's Lap: All Zones Tea please

Shopper%25202.jpg

Dusting off the snow from last year, every day this month the Londonist team will be pointing you in the direction of a Christmas present that (with a bit of luck) you won't already have on your list. Climb up onto our collective lap and we'll see what we can move from our sack to your stockings..

There's an big market for anything involving the London Underground system when it comes to buying gifts, and W2 (confusingly located in SE1) is capitalising upon it.

Taking images from the London Underground archive, you'll find the London Transport Canteen motif on mugs (£5), teapots (£14), tea-cosys (£8) and tea towels (£6). We particularly love the All Zones London Skyline Apron which costs £12 and features images from a 1909 Underground sign over the entrance to Baker Street Tube. It also looks great in shopping bag (£10) or oven glove (£8) format! Their final range takes an 1949 advert for staff at the London Transport Canteen offering £3-15-6 plus meals, uniform and travel for a canteen job.

Kitchy yet geeky, this would go down a treat with any underground fans.

Check the W2 site and order online here. Alternatively pay them a visit at 1.22 Oxo Tower Wharf.
