Girls from Greece with a thirst for knowledge looking to study sculpture will soon have a new home. Central St Martin's College of Art and Design is taking up residency in King's Cross to the delight of residents. Not everyone, however, is so enthused as the space for the new campus is currently home to three night clubs.

The Cross, the Key, and Canvas are all due to host their final nights on New Year's Eve; the buildings are meant to be demolished for St Martin's to move in. Although, if you read the club descriptions in the links, they each

cite Eurostar renovation as the reason the clubs are closing, so perhaps we should turn up our noses on pricey trans-Channel transportation instead of shiny new educational facilities.

It was not immediately apparent whether St Martin's would be offering student accommodation, and thus whether the King's Cross residents will be contending with students getting their first taste of freedom rather than the seasoned weekend revelers.
