Bored tonight? Well if you're hanging round East London without much to do then we recommend a visit to Stoke Newington's Bardens Boudoir. Constantly a source of exciting small bands and DIY events, tonight Girl Talk is their headlining act and one we're particularly excited about. A big star in the music circles, Gregg Gillis has been mixing up all types of songs in his DJ sets as Girl Talk over the last couple of years. And he's perfect for this time of year, because he doesn't think it's particularly cool to just play songs no one knows. Sure you'll probably hear some exciting new music, but his main focus is on continuously mixing wildly disparate top 40 genres and eras. Expect hip hop layered into glossy pop into rock anthems into party classics. If you've not got a Xmas party of your own tonight, then a night with Girl Talk sounds perfect.

He's joined by Brother Reade, an unlikely looking hip-hop duo from Los Angeles who look to challenge your stereotypes about what a hip hop duo should do, and John Maus.

Doors are at 8 and tickets are £6, avaliable in advance here. See you on the dancefloor.
