Music Choice: Monday 8 - Sunday 14

Editors start a three night residency at Brixton Academy on Monday (17.50, here) but the real treat has to be Reading's squelchy electro boys Does It Offend You Yeah? shuffling their stuff at Barfly. Campy London trio Palladium are at Madame JoJos (£7, here and dreamy Canadian shoegazers Stars play The Scala .

The incredibly bouncy Operator Please have flown in from Australia on Tuesday to take part in the NME Freshers tour alongside The Go Team and The Satin Peaches (£13, here.) Non freshers welcome!

The kids might be saving themselves for the terrifying concept of grindsters Hadouken at the Astoria on Wednesday instead. Last time we saw them it was just a really loud noise, but it was interesting if only to see how 14 years jump up and down really politely in time, very strange. Darlington's Elastica soundalike's We Start Fires are at the Barfly (£7, here,) and you can catch a real britpop band when the newly reformed Kula Shaker play Koko.

Thursday is filled with big names as Maximo Park play the 1st of 2 nights at Brixton; Athlete do the same at Shepherd's Bush Empire, The Coral scouse up The Roundhouse, Turin Brakes play The Forum and Battles play Koko. They're all currently sold out but there's plenty of tickets floating round on Scarlet Mist or Gumtree. More excitingly Misty's Big Adventure play a rescheduled date at Metro and UK beatbox star Killa Kela is at Water Rats (£10.50, here)

The surviving members of The Zombies play what's sure to be a very fun show at the 100 Club on Friday night, while The Harrisons are at Water Rats (£7,here supported by I Say Marvin and Flamingos.

We always recommend ethical gig trading site Scarlet Mist as your first port of call for tickets particularly when they're sold out, so check them out and beat the touts.
