East meets West at Modular
modular weekly flyer

One club event we've neglected to mention really (and we really should have) is the birth of the amazing Modular Weekly parties at Ditch in Shoreditch. Modular is the label home of some of our favourite electronic artists including The Presets, MSTRKFFT, Klaxons and Cut Copy, as well as looking after Jack Johnson & Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And when they put on a party, they rock it! Sure if you're not wearing skinny jeans, bright colours and have a fat fringe then you might feel a bit left out but screw it, the music's good.

We're bringing it up particuarly this week because this Friday's party is a bit of East meets West . Seb Chew and Greenmoney's Yo Yo clubnight is heading out of it's regular Thursday night at the Notting Hill Arts Club and heading to ditch for a YoYo vs Modular mash up. World famous, thanks in no small part to Lily Allen, Mark Ronson and the host of London based music stars who head there on a regular basis, Yo-Yo has its roots in the urban side of thing so expect hip-hop, soul and a touch of jungle.

If that doesn't tear the house down then next week at Modular you can look forward to Ed Banger boss & Daft Punk manager Busy P on the decks. Ed Banger + Modular = electro perfection?

Modular Weekly is held, erm, weekly on a Friday at Ditch Bar, Shoreditch High Street. Nearest tube, Liverpool Street or Old Street. Entry is £5, from 9 - 2.
