Ice cream and live music are two of Londonist's favourite things. Imagine our excitment when we realised there was a festival that had both! Yes. Both! Well, that's just the kind of event that'll send our blood pressure through the roof.

So what's the event are we so excited about? It's the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Sundae. Over July 28th and 29th the Gods of ice cream take over Clapham Common (so that's two days of muching every flavour of free ice cream we possibly can!)

And you can listen to some great music while you munch. The likes of The Feeling and Kate Nash are up on Saturday, followed by The Proclaimers and the fabulous Noisettes on Sunday.

Hopefully, the sun will be shining and you can really enjoy the opportunity to do some toe wrestling (yes, really) or you can play on the helter skelter. Though Londonist thinks perhaps you should do that before eating as much ice cream as your tummy can take.

We're expecting to feel a bit sick by the end of the weekend, but it'll be worth it. We're up for this even if it's raining.

Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Sundae is at Clapham Common on 28th and 29th July from 12 noon until 8pm. You can still buy tickets on the gate for the tiny sum of £8.75, which will help fund a solar panel project in India.
